    Hello,

I am trying to add additional domains via WP Hive. I am new to WordPress but I have been creating my own websites for several years.

I read the WP Hive installations instructions several times and I have been reading the forum posts but so far I have not been able to get an additional domain to install WP with WP Hive.

I installed WP manually for my primary domain and activated WP Hive. That is as far as I have gotten. I have contacted HostGator for help, so far no progress.

My HostGator account is a shared server account with one primary domain and three addons. I would like to create a blog for each addon.

Here is part of the reply I got from HostGator yesterday:
    -----------------------------
I have examined all four domains that you have currently configured on your account for WHOIS information (shows you the nameservers and some registrar information) and all four domains are configured to use our nameservers so you won't have a problem with pointing.
    ----------------------------
That above information is no help whatsoever. I don't understand pointing. I just want to know step by step how to get additional blogs installed using the WP I installed for my primary domain.

    Please, can someone help me?

    Thanks,
    Pearl

    HI there,

You need to go to your domain manager within hostgator and point the domains to the directory where the main wordpress blog is with the hive.

    Thanks justin,

I pretty much understood that I need to point my domains to where the main WP blog is. The problem is I don't know how to do that.

I need step by step instructions on what to do after I login to my cpanel.

    thanks

Here are the instructions from HostGator.

I recommend you watch the video tutorial. The "Document Root" is the field you need to set to be the same directory as your main WordPress install.
