working with customizable themes

    hi,

    since wp-hive works best with one them across all blogs, i was wondering about how it will handel customizable themes.

    customizable themes like thesis or flexsqueeze and many otheres, colors, columns, fonts can be changed with a few clicks.

    however, if one change is applied, does that mean all my blogs on the same install for the theme is changed? in other words, can i customize each theme on each blog?

    WP Hive doesn't need a single theme across each site. Just install any themes you want and then apply whichever one you want for each site.

    Any theme customizations that are stored in the database will be specific to that site (generally if you are changing options with a GUI, this is the case). In this situation, you can share the same theme with no problems.

    However, if the customizations make changes to the actual files, then one change will affect all the sites. If you want to duplicate a theme and customize it for a particular site, just copy and rename the theme folder and edit the name in stylesheet.css as appropriate.
